Glass

Both historic and modern glassware, and mirrors, are restored using materials (typically conservation-grade epoxy resin) chosen to complement the translucency, colour and refractive index of the original glass. Broken objects can be bonded together, the visibility of cracks minimised, and missing sections and decorative details filled or modelled to recreate the original form of the object. Repairs to glassware are often unavoidably visible on close inspection, but repairs are sympathetic and the decorative appeal of an object can usually be restored.
